Bandai Namco Entertainment America has announced that Bob, the speed-focused fighter known for his unique Freestyle Karate style, has joined the TEKKEN 8 roster as the latest Season 3 character.
Bob is available now in early access for players who own the Season 3 Pass, while everyone else can purchase the character starting August 24, 2026. TEKKEN 8 is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Originally introduced in TEKKEN 6, Bob returns in TEKKEN 8 with a very different story behind his latest appearance. After suffering a brutal beating from Bryan while making his way to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 7, Bob finds himself recovering in a hospital.
His time in the hospital eventually leads to an unexpected new career path. Frustrated with the bland food he is served during his recovery, Bob begins working on his own burger recipe. Following his discharge, his culinary ambitions grow into a hugely successful burger chain and eventually the creation of “Bob’s Onigiri,” bringing him even greater fame and fortune.
Despite his newfound success, Bob’s sense of justice remains intact. When he crosses paths with Kazuya Mishima during Kazuya’s campaign to take over the world, Bob once again takes up the fight, determined to bring his own brand of justice to the series’ notorious antagonist.
Bob joins Kunimitsu as the second character to become available as part of the TEKKEN 8 Season 3 Pass. Roger Jr. and Yujiro Hanma are also planned to join the roster as part of the season, giving players several more returning and crossover fighters to look forward to.
TEKKEN 8 continues the long-running Mishima family saga while expanding its roster with characters from throughout the franchise’s history. The latest additions give players even more ways to experience the game’s aggressive fighting system while continuing the ongoing conflict surrounding Kazuya Mishima and his reign of terror.
TEKKEN 8 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Bob can be purchased separately beginning August 24, with Season 3 Pass owners receiving early access.
