XBOX has been around as a brand for 25 years and Asha Shwarma is leading the charge to make the coming 25 even better. This year’s XBOX showcase.
Gears of War E-Day started the showcase which by its end led to a Gears of War E-Day Direct. Marcus Fenix is back in a new adventure and fans of the series have been waiting for this. The game will launch like all of these other games on Gamepass, and this one launches October 6th.
Fable comes to Gamepass and PS5 on February 23rd 2027. This new game is looking to be one of the best in the series. It has a wide world and 1000 NPCs to make friends or foes. Looking to be a real winner, fans should be excited.
Halo is back with a remake of Halo Combat Evolved. This game will have new missions that take place before the main story. Coming July 28th, it’s going to be fun going back to such a classic game.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, which is a prequel to the storied Plague Tale series comes out August 27th. As a prequel it should be interesting to see what happened before the main story.
Persona 4 Revival finally announced its release date and it’s coming February 18th 2027 to XBOX and PS5. It’s looking really good, and of course has new story bits and the Golden content is included too. It should be fun exploring the Midnight Channel again!
Persona 6 was also announced, though it was only a moody teaser. Still excited to see what Atlus has up it’s sleeves.
State of Decay 3 is the next game, and is the first game since XBOX acquired its developer. Fans will be excited to know it’s coming next year!
Sea of Thieves keeps the good times on the sea going with creation content. Players can make everything from challenges, to hang out spots, and even in game cinematics. Just another reason Rare is amazing, and it launches June 18th.
Metro 2039 was also given a new trailer and it’s coming in February. Looking to be quite cool and created by Ukraine Studio 4A Games.
Bad Magpie which is similar in ways to Untitled Goose but grittier is coming next year. Players play as the titular character and cause mayhem and destruction wherever they go.
Wo Long 2 Wings of Ember is coming early next year, and is a new Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja Game. A sequel to a 2023 hit, fans of the series will enjoy jumping back in for more action.
Join Us a Cult Simulator launching in March looks charming. Players move to a small town, and have to set up a cult. It’s a wild premise but it definitely looks like a fun new game.
Senua is back in 2027 for the third game in the Ninja Theory series. Titled simply Senua, this game does look pretty cool.
Fallout 76 is launching a new update called Infestations. There are plenty of shenanigans and hijinks to be had, with the many creatures and machines that roam the wastes.
Doom The Dark Ages Revelation DLC launches July 7th and fans are stoked. Continuing the story with new fights and more chaos, it’s always welcome.
Crazy Taxi World Tour is coming next year and looks fun. A new game in the classic series with a full story and world wide travel. Coming to Switch 2, PC, PS5 and XBOX.
The XBOX 25th anniversary console looks pretty sleek. It has that 90’s style clear plastic and comes in classic XBOX Green.
Age of Empire IV: Raiders of the North launches this fall and brings back classic game action. Looking very cool, and sure to excite fans new and old.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 which launches on all platforms September 29th is on the way. Looking to be another spirited Minecraft adventure indeed.
Magicians the Devil’s Deal which is a shooter where players must escape hell using magic. It has a cool vibe and seems to be a magically rip roaring time. Out in 2027, ready to bring magic to the people.
Valor Mortalis which launches September 24th is a wild historical fantasy shooter. It definitely looks to be interesting and fans don’t have too long to wait.
The Elder Scrolls Online gets a new Thieves Guild and Heist update on July 8th. Should be a fun reason to jump back in and steal the riches from the elite.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is getting a beautiful new state park pack on the 4th. A beautiful love letter to the nation in its 250th.
Where Wind Meets which has been out for awhile is finally coming to Gamepass. The Hidden Mountain Update is a great place to start for new and old players alike in July.
Castlevania Belmont’s Curse is out October 15th, and yes the new Belmont is a girl. Rose will take down baddies and fight her way through the night in this new game.
Vivarium which is a game that looks like old school anime and Ghibli is coming next year. It’s a life sim game that takes place in a terrarium of sorts. A very charming game that brings some mellowness to the proceedings.
Spyro: A Realm Beyond is the newest Spyro game in a long while. It’s going to be quite fun seeing our favorite Purple Dragon adventuring the world in 2027.
Clockwork Revolution an Xbox console exclusive is bringing it’s time travel fun to the console next year. Looking to be an interesting experience rife with chaos and change.
Before the E-Day Direct, fans of Call of Duty were shown new footage. The new footage revolves around The DMZ Extraction mode in Modern Warfare 4. Coming October 23rd players don’t have long to wait.
The showcase was packed as always with some pretty great games. It’s always exciting to see what’s coming next and this didn’t disappoint.
