Bandai Namco certainly didn’t hold back when it came to supporting the original PlayStation. And with the best kind of games, no less. We got Time Crisis, the Tekken games, the stupendous Klonoa: Door To Phantomile, and the Namco Museum series. But we’d be fools to forget about its 1996 release, Xevious 3D/G, which took its classic shooter in a new direction with tight 3D visuals and new gameplay techniques.
The original game certainly remains a draw for fans. But now, thanks to Hamster Corporation, everyone will get a chance to check it out on modern platforms starting tomorrow, as Xevious 3D/G is set to debut on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2!
According to the game’s official page, “the classic masterpiece Xevious is reborn in polygons! Everything is rendered in 3D with diverse screen angles and camera work, plus new weapons and enemy characters have been added. Conquer all 7 areas, including the desert with the geoglyph and the space fortress!”

The “Arcade Archives” (ACA) series is developed with the concept of faithfully reproducing classic arcade games, staying true to the original.
In ORIGINAL MODE, you’ll find a variety of convenient features that make revisiting these classic titles even more enjoyable. These include difficulty and display settings, button remapping, rapid-fire options, and the ability to create multiple save files at any time.
In HI SCORE MODE, players compete for the highest score earned in a single run, while in CARAVAN MODE, they compete for the highest score earned within 5 minutes. TIME ATTACK MODE focuses on how quickly you can complete the game, regardless of the score you achieve. What’s more, with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support, the gameplay can be reproduced even more accurately, closer to the original arcade experience.
