In just a few short weeks, we’ll see the return of the legendary Castlevania franchise with Belmont’s Curse, coming to us from Evil Empire and Motion Twin. But before then, players will get a taste of what’s to come from the latest Konami adventure.

The official Castlevania X account has confirmed that a playable demo of Belmont’s Curse will launch on all consoles and PC on October 1, two weeks before the game arrives on October 15! What’s more, save data from the demo will carry over to the full game, so you won’t have to worry about starting over. Whew.

Belmont’s Curse will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, giving players plenty of options for experiencing the latest chapter in the legendary franchise.

Here’s a synopsis of the game, just in case you missed it:

Medieval Paris, where the tolling bells herald the end.

1499.

Paris is engulfed in flames as monstrous creatures suddenly emerge from the shadows.

Trevor Belmont, the hero who defeated Dracula, ventures into the burning streets with his daughter, Rose Belmont. Armed with the legendary holy whip, the Vampire Killer, they hunt down the beasts emerging from the looming castle.

Rose is soon swept up in the dark conspiracy lurking beneath the city. Will she succeed in saving Paris from devastation?
