Urban Myth Dissolution Center is bringing its paranormal investigations to Nintendo Switch 2, with Shueisha Games and developer Hakababunko releasing a new edition of the mystery adventure alongside an affordable upgrade option for existing players.

The Urban Myth Dissolution Center – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is now available for $18.98, while those who already own the Nintendo Switch version can purchase an Upgrade Pack for just $0.99. The updated edition introduces Gallery Mode and mouse controls, giving players a couple of new ways to experience the game’s unusual investigations.

Gallery Mode allows players to revisit the game’s artwork, while Joy-Con 2 mouse controls provide an alternative way to interact with the investigation segments. The latter should be particularly useful for players who enjoy the game’s detective work, which involves gathering evidence and examining information to uncover the truth behind a variety of strange cases.

Originally released for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on February 13, 2025, Urban Myth Dissolution Center follows Azami Fukurai as she investigates urban legends under the supervision of the Center’s director, Ayumu Meguriya. The organization specializes in dealing with cursed objects, supernatural oddities, and dimensional anomalies, with its cases often involving mysteries that blur the line between internet folklore and reality.

Presented through psychedelic pixel art, the episodic adventure has players collecting circumstantial evidence, examining social media posts, and uncovering the personal histories of those involved in each case. However, resolving these mysteries can lead to unexpected consequences, with the truth behind each urban legend often being more complicated than it initially appears.

The game later arrived on iOS and Android in March 2026, and its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition provides another opportunity for players to investigate its collection of strange phenomena. For those who already own the original Nintendo Switch release, the upgrade’s $0.99 price makes it an inexpensive way to access the new features without purchasing the game again.
