Publisher Shueisha Games and developer Acrobatic Chirimenjako have released Schrödinger’s Call for Nintendo Switch 2, bringing the supernatural narrative adventure to Nintendo’s latest console. The game is available digitally for $17.99, although players who already own the original Nintendo Switch version will have to purchase it again, as there is no upgrade path.
Originally released for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on May 28, Schrödinger’s Call follows Mary, a woman who awakens in a mysterious room with no memory of who she is. In a world where humanity has seemingly vanished, she becomes the last person capable of communicating with souls trapped between life and death.
Armed with a telephone, Mary listens to the regrets and unfinished business of the dead, helping them recover feelings they have lost. Players will choose how she responds to the souls on the other end of the line, with their decisions and actions helping to advance the story.
The adventure places an emphasis on human connection, with its mysterious telephone serving as the means through which Mary uncovers the stories of those who remain unable to move on. As she gathers information and speaks with different souls, players will gradually unravel the circumstances surrounding the strange world she has awakened in.
Schrödinger’s Call is available now for Nintendo Switch 2.
