And here we go. The winter gaming season is upon us with some big releases this week. That includes Minecraft Dungeons II, Ace Combat 8 and several others. But the huge one, for many, is the release of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Remastered.
This fresh take on the legendary CD Projekt Red adventure is available now for all platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2. And what’s more, if you own the original game, it’s free.
CD Projekt Red’s own Marcin Momot took to X to provide details on how much space users should set aside to download the Remastered patch. And, yeah, it’s definitely on the big side, but that just means more Geralt to love, don’t it?

“Since we’ve been receiving lots of questions about the size of The Witcher 3 Remastered, here’s what to expect on each platform:
PC (Steam)- 45 GB (may vary depending on installed language packs)
PS5- 45 GB
Xbox- 45 GB
Nintendo Switch 2- 50 GB (separate product)”
And, yes, this doesn’t just apply to the digital copy of the game. If you own a physical version, all you need to do is pop in your disc or cartridge of choice, and a selection should pop up regarding the Remastered edition. Again, for free.

Here’s the official feature list, for the two of you who still haven’t played this game:
