The next time you find yourself stuck in an elevator, you might want to start slapping things. Turbo Button’s Floor Plan: Slap Out Of It! is bringing its peculiar brand of slapstick puzzle-solving to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam in spring 2027, offering a standalone adventure inspired by the developer’s popular VR escape room series.
Announced during the latest Nintendo Indie World showcase, Floor Plan: Slap Out Of It! trades virtual reality for a new adventure built around interconnected escape rooms, cartoon logic, and a pair of decidedly noodly arms. Players will explore a bizarre building where every floor presents a new collection of puzzles, secrets, and strange characters, with plenty of opportunities to get hands-on with the environment.
The game puts players in the shoes of a new employee at Puzzl, a company dedicated to fixing the world’s problems. After receiving an important mission from the CEO, players will need to travel between floors, collect items in their fanny pack, and figure out how the building’s inhabitants and puzzles fit together. Naturally, the solution to many of these problems involves giving things a good slap.
Developed as an expansion of the original Floor Plan VR games, Slap Out Of It! has been redesigned from the ground up for traditional keyboard and controller play. The adventure features new mechanics, puzzles, and secrets, while maintaining the series’ emphasis on interactive environments and unconventional problem-solving. The developer promises six to 10 hours of handcrafted puzzles and comedy, with everything from background details to the game’s strange cast of characters potentially hiding something worth discovering.
Players can also expect a little help when things get too confusing, with the building’s operator offering hints for those who need some additional intel. Still, the game’s central appeal is its willingness to let players experiment, encouraging them to slap, touch, and investigate anything within reach.
Floor Plan: Slap Out Of It! is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam in spring 2027. Unlike its predecessors, the new adventure will not support VR.
