Everything is Crab is bringing its bizarre take on evolution to a much wider audience, with the roguelite set to expand beyond PC through upcoming mobile and console releases. Publisher Secret Mode and developer Odd Dreams Digital have confirmed that the game will launch on iOS and Android on November 24, followed by PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch on January 26, 2027.
First released on PC via Steam on May 8, Everything is Crab puts a decidedly unconventional spin on the roguelite genre. Players must survive in a living ecosystem by hunting, fleeing, scavenging, and evolving, with each run offering opportunities to develop increasingly unusual creatures.
The game’s central premise revolves around carcinization, the evolutionary phenomenon in which unrelated organisms independently develop crab-like characteristics. Rather than simply accepting that fate, players can experiment with more than 125 evolutionary abilities and specializations to create creatures suited to different survival strategies.
Whether players want to develop a nimble creature capable of escaping danger, a formidable predator, or something considerably stranger, the game’s evolutionary systems offer plenty of room for experimentation. Each run can produce different combinations of abilities and appearances, giving players a reason to return to the ecosystem and see what their next creation can become.
Everything is Crab also features four distinct biomes, each with its own environmental conditions, flora, fauna, and points of interest. A day-and-night cycle, evolving creatures, and a variety of potential bosses add further challenges to the experience, while a progression system introduces additional abilities, starting characters, and challenge scenarios.
The upcoming mobile versions will arrive first, bringing the game’s evolutionary chaos to iOS and Android in November. Console players will have to wait until January, when the game makes its way to both generations of Nintendo’s Switch hardware alongside PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
Everything is Crab is currently available on PC via Steam, with the Microsoft Store and Mac App Store versions also scheduled to arrive alongside the January 26, 2027, console release.
