Konami Digital Entertainment has officially launched METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2, bringing enhanced versions of two celebrated entries in the METAL GEAR series to modern platforms. The collection is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Following METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.1, the second collection focuses on the stories of Solid Snake and Big Boss. It includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and Metal Gear: Ghost Babel as bonus content, along with a selection of additional digital extras.
Originally released for PlayStation 3 in 2008, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots makes its debut on modern platforms as part of the collection. Players once again take control of Solid Snake for what is described as his final mission, confronting old allies and longtime enemies as the story brings the saga to a major conclusion. The game also features enhanced visuals for its modern release.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker follows the rise of Big Boss as he builds his own private army during the Cold War. The game combines the series’ trademark tactical espionage action with base-building mechanics and helps establish events that would shape the future of the METAL GEAR saga. Online multiplayer is also supported for up to six players, although crossplay is not available.
The collection is rounded out by Metal Gear: Ghost Babel, which is included as bonus content.
Players will also receive several additional materials, including screenplay and master books for both main titles, the Metal Gear Solid 4 Database, and a digital soundtrack. The collection includes:
