Bandai Namco has confirmed that Nanashi Uchiha is now available as a new playable character in NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, arriving alongside a fresh chapter of the game’s Special Story Mode.

Nanashi’s addition kicks off an original storyline in which Boruto Uzumaki must face down a threat that puts the peace of the ninja world at risk. Nanashi herself is a mysterious figure shaped by a tragic past, one that left her with a deep hatred of ninjas after being mistreated by the Uchiha clan and eventually turned into a living weapon of destruction. She emerges as a formidable opponent for Boruto, who finds himself torn between protecting the ninja world and uncovering the truth behind her actions, gradually realising that Nanashi may not be the straightforward villain she first appears to be.

Alongside the new character and story content, this update brings back Ninja Battle, introduces a Proficiency Event that lets players boost their proficiency gains at a faster rate, and adds Special Challenges that reward players with unique titles upon completion. Battle balance adjustments round out the patch.

Bandai Namco also confirmed more content is on the way through future free updates. New online features are planned for release this winter, and another playable character is set to join the roster next spring, with further details on both promised at a later date.
