Nintendo has updated the Legend of Zelda’s Portal website to reveal The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom’s official placement within the series’ timeline According to the newest update, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom takes place after Tri Force Heroes and is followed by The original Zelda, Zelda II, Breath of the Wild, and Tears of the Kingdom then follow.
It needs to be mentioned that Echoes of Wisdom fall into the “the hero is defeated” timeline that diverges from The Legend of Zelda Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This does not mean Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are exclusive to that timeline as they are always at the end of the timeline for all timelines.
