Arc System Works America, Inc. has announced that Zohar, the latest DLC character for UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes, will join the fighting game on September 15, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Steam, followed by a Nintendo Switch release on September 23.

Known as the “Doppelganger,” Zohar is the fourth additional playable character coming to UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes. The high-speed infighter uses a combination of coordinated attacks with her Doppelganger, giant spikes, and instant cross-up techniques to overwhelm opponents. Her toolkit is built around mix-ups, cross-up traps, and finding ways through an opponent’s guard.

Zohar is voiced by Aiko Okubo and possesses the ability known as Doppelganger. She was once one of the leaders of Bankikai alongside Ogre and Strix, but during the battle with Amnesia, she was consumed by power overflowing from the Abyss. The incident cost her sanity and left her close friend Strix seriously wounded.

Haunted by what she had done, Zohar eventually learned rumours that Strix had survived. She changed her name and entered the Night in search of her former friend, driven by conflicting thoughts to find her, apologize to her, and even kill her. As she searches for Strix, Zohar must also confront whether these thoughts truly belong to her or to the “other” self lurking within.

Zohar will be available individually for $4.99 or as part of the $9.99 Season Pass on PlayStation 5, Steam, and Nintendo Switch. The main game is required to access the DLC, and players may need to download the latest update before using the character.

UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes features revamped HD visuals, a new storyline, additional playable characters, an expanded battle system, and enhanced online functionality. The game also introduced rollback netcode to the series for the first time, with Ranked, Casual, and Player Matches available for players looking to battle opponents around the world.
