Trinity Trigger has quietly made its way onto Nintendo Switch 2, as FuRyu has shadow-dropped Trinity Trigger DX on the eShop with a collection of additional content and a sizable launch discount.
Originally released in the West for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, Trinity Trigger is an action RPG inspired by classic Japanese RPGs. The Switch 2 version, however, arrives as a more complete package, bundling the original game with a range of downloadable content.
That includes an Extra Episode Set featuring new events that were not part of the main story, an additional Weapon Set, an All-in-One Item Set containing useful shards, items and materials, and Dad’s Keepsakes, which provide an experience boost to make levelling up easier.
The adventure follows Cyan, a young man who discovers that he is actually the Warrior of Chaos. Joined by Elise and Zantis, Cyan sets out to challenge the fate that has been placed before him while uncovering the conflict between the Gods of Order and the Gods of Chaos.
Combat remains one of Trinity Trigger’s biggest draws, with the game offering eight different weapon types that can be switched using the Weapon Wheel. Players can also search for hidden paths and other secrets while exploring its world, while local co-op supports up to three players.
Trinity Trigger DX is now available digitally on Nintendo Switch 2. The game is currently being offered for $24.99 as part of its launch promotion, down from its regular $49.99 price, with the discount running until October 11. One thing returning players should keep in mind, however, is that save data cannot be transferred from the original Nintendo Switch version to the Switch 2 release.
