The Walking Dead is getting a retro-inspired beat ’em up today, as The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival has officially launched on PC and consoles. Developed by TRAILMARK Games in collaboration with AMC Global Media, the new action game is now available digitally on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Inspired by the All-Out War storyline from AMC’s The Walking Dead television series, Streets of Survival puts players in control of some of the franchise’s most recognizable survivors as they fight their way through 12 levels filled with Walkers and Saviors. Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Michonne, and Negan are all playable, with each character bringing their own moveset into the game’s fast-paced combat.
The campaign takes players through familiar locations from the series, including the Sanctuary, Hilltop, and Alexandria, while throwing a mixture of undead hordes and human enemies into the path of the survivors. Alongside melee combos and ranged attacks, the game features finishers, large-scale set pieces, pixel-art visuals, and story-driven sequences designed around the show’s post-apocalyptic setting.
Boss battles also play a major role, with players facing characters such as Negan and Simon alongside some of the series’ more memorable Walkers, including Winslow and the Well Walker. Multiple difficulty levels and an Arcade Challenge structure are intended to give players reasons to revisit the campaign, while an optional Easy Mode provides a more casual way to experience the game.
The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is available now with a Standard Edition priced at $19.99 and a Deluxe Edition priced at $29.99. The latter includes the Arcade Apocalypse Pack, which adds weapon and character skins, the digital soundtrack, The Walker Pit endless survival mode, and the Hell On Earth Difficulty mode, which removes checkpoints. The Arcade Apocalypse Pack can also be purchased separately for $14.99.
Physical copies of the Deluxe Edition are scheduled to follow on October 2 in European regions and October 16 in North America.
