The medieval business simulation The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 has officially entered Early Access on Steam, giving players the chance to establish their own businesses, build powerful dynasties, and work their way through the social and political hierarchies of 15th-century Europe.
Developed by Ashborne Games, The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 puts players in control of a growing medieval enterprise, with success depending on more than simply producing and selling goods. Players can establish themselves across six cities, including Graz, Kuttenberg, Nuremberg, Freiburg, Wrocław, and the tutorial town of Landsfort Herle, while choosing between eight professions at launch: Smith, Tailor, Joiner, Stonemason, Priest, Innkeeper, Alchemist, and Perfumer.
From there, the goal is to turn a humble workshop into a lasting family business. Players can construct and expand their enterprises, hire workers, develop their businesses, and build wealth while also dealing with the more personal side of medieval life. Characters can court potential partners, marry, and raise heirs, allowing individual campaigns to stretch across multiple generations as control of the family business passes from one generation to the next.
Money and commerce are only part of the experience, however, as The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 also puts considerable emphasis on social and political maneuvering. Players can build relationships with influential figures, use bribery or blackmail when necessary, and climb the social ladder while attempting to influence the development of their chosen city.
The game is launching in Early Access with support for English and German, with additional languages planned for later. Ashborne Games also has several major updates planned for the road ahead, including a combat-focused update that will introduce Thief, Robber, and Guard professions, as well as a multiplayer update supporting up to 12 players. The eventual 1.0 release is also set to add trading and moneylending professions.
To mark the Early Access launch, The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 is available with a 34% discount for its first two weeks, bringing its $29.99 / €29.99 regular price down for a limited time.
