Developer Steel Mantis and publisher Silver Lining Interactive have confirmed that Slain 2: The Beast Within is coming to Nintendo Switch, expanding the upcoming gothic hack-and-slash game’s lineup of platforms. Alongside the digital release, a physical edition is also planned for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, with pre-orders now open through Silver Lining Direct and participating retailers.

Previously announced for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, Slain 2: The Beast Within is scheduled to launch in early 2027. The game takes players into a dark fantasy world of monstrous enemies, brutal combat, and heavy-metal-inspired action as Prince Akran, the last Wolf Knight, battles the forces of the tyrant Lord Vroll.

Players will wield Bathoryn, a sentient sword capable of unleashing elemental destruction, while also harnessing Akran’s ability to transform into a werewolf. This transformation offers another way to tear through the game’s enemies, bringing claws and teeth into the fight alongside the blade’s powers.

The adventure will span three quests across hand-crafted environments, including haunted castles, treacherous seas, and the depths of a dark abyss. Along the way, players will face a variety of formidable foes, from ancient spirits and vengeful witches to abyssal warlocks and other grotesque horrors.

With its Nintendo Switch release now confirmed and physical pre-orders underway, Slain 2: The Beast Within is set to bring its blend of gothic fantasy and heavy-metal brutality to another platform when it arrives in early 2027.
