Petal Runner is bringing its Game Boy Color-inspired RPG to Nintendo Switch 2 alongside its previously announced PC version, with publisher iam8bit and developer Nano Park Studios confirming a March 8, 2027 release date. A playable demo is also available now for both platforms, giving players an early look at its colorful world and story-driven adventure.

Set in the sun-soaked city of Sapphire Valley, Petal Runner follows Cali and her companion Kira as they pursue their dream of becoming specialized couriers for the latest generation of artificial pet technology. Players will explore the city by motorcycle, make deliveries, meet its residents, and take on a variety of minigames while uncovering a coming-of-age story about friendship, growing up, and letting go.

Inspired by the visual style of classic Game Boy Color games, Petal Runner combines retro pixel art with an open world featuring distinct districts, side quests, and a cast of human and digital characters. Beneath its colorful presentation, the game also promises a deeper mystery surrounding its artificial pets, giving players more to discover as they explore Sapphire Valley.
