Konami Digital Entertainment has launched a new campaign in eBaseball: MLB PRO SPIRIT celebrating some of the biggest names and memorable performances from MLB All-Star Games throughout history.
The aptly named “All-Star Memories” campaign brings 13 former MLB stars into the game as featured players, giving players a chance to add familiar legends to their dream teams. The lineup includes Johnny Damon, Cal Ripken Jr., Jim Thome, Cliff Lee, Joe Mauer, Garret Anderson, Keith Foulke, Ryan Howard, Chipper Jones, Vladimir Guerrero, Kerry Wood, Brad Penny, and Ubaldo Jiménez.
The campaign also comes with several opportunities to pick up players without having to rely entirely on the usual Scout system. Players who log in during the campaign can receive a G-III Choice: Ryan Howard, guaranteeing the Philadelphia Phillies legend, while the All-Star Memories Commemorative Login Bonus can provide a G-III All-Star Memories item that guarantees a featured player from the campaign lineup.
The main All-Star Memories Commemorative Scout is available from September 23 through October 6. Each attempt costs 25 Diamonds, guarantees a G-III-or-higher player, and has a 20% chance of awarding one of the featured All-Star Memories players. Players can perform the Scout up to 20 times during the campaign.
There is also a 10-Player Freebie Scout running from September 23 through September 29. The free Scout guarantees one active G-IV player, giving players another opportunity to strengthen their roster during the event.
Adding to the celebration, Konami has released an interview featuring Phillies legend Ryan Howard. In the video, Howard discusses the players featured in the campaign, their memorable accomplishments, and some behind-the-scenes stories from his own experiences in MLB.
The “All-Star Memories” campaign is available now in MLB PRO SPIRIT, with the various bonuses and Scouts running on their respective schedules through October 6.
