Arcade enthusiasts will soon have another reason to revisit the glory days of coin-operated gaming, as Gaelco Sports Collection brings five classic arcade titles to modern platforms on October 22, 2026. Published by QUByte Interactive in partnership with Bleem!, the collection will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The collection celebrates the legacy of Spanish arcade developer Gaelco, which emerged from Barcelona in 1985 and made its mark during the 1990s with technically ambitious arcade games. Its five-game lineup puts the spotlight on racing, snowboarding, volleyball, and squash, offering a snapshot of an era when quick reflexes and mastering an arcade machine were essential to chasing a high score.

Leading the collection are World Rally Championship (1993) and World Rally 2: Twin Racing (1995), two isometric rally racers that helped establish Gaelco’s reputation. The original challenges players to guide a Toyota Celica GT-Four across tarmac, dirt, and snow while racing against a relentless 60-second countdown. Its sequel builds on that foundation with additional circuits, selectable rally cars including the Toyota Celica, Subaru Impreza, and Ford Escort Cosworth, and head-to-head ghost car competition.

The collection also includes Snowboard Championship (1997), which takes the action to the slopes with downhill racing, slalom gates, dramatic drops, and 360-degree loops. Those looking for a different kind of competition can turn to Touch and Go (1995), a fast-paced beach volleyball game built around two-on-two matches and straightforward controls, or Squash (1992), a reflex-driven racquet sports game featuring international competitors and dynamic court dives.

Preserving these games is particularly noteworthy given the technical hurdles associated with Gaelco’s arcade hardware encryption, which made some of the company’s releases challenging to emulate. The collection uses QUByte Interactive’s proprietary QUByte Emulation Engine to bring all five games to modern systems, giving players another opportunity to experience a distinctive part of arcade gaming history.

With two rally racers and three sports titles rounding out the package, Gaelco Sports Collection offers a focused look at the developer’s arcade legacy. The collection launches October 22, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
