After nearly a decade of being confined to China, Naruto Mobile is finally preparing to bring its shinobi battles to players around the world. Bandai Namco has announced a global release for the smartphone action game, which originally launched in China on May 19, 2016. The announcement arrived during the Naruto: What’s Next? presentation at New York Comic Con 2026, alongside a teaser trailer offering a first look at the international release.

Developed by MoreFun Studios, Naruto Mobile lets players revisit the series through fast-paced battles featuring familiar characters, anime-inspired ninjutsu, and spectacular Ultimate Jutsu attacks. Players can collect shinobi from across the franchise and assemble their favourites for battles that bring together characters from different points in Naruto’s history.

While the game has remained available in China for years, its worldwide release will open the door for a much broader audience to experience its take on the Naruto universe. However, Bandai Namco has yet to announce a release date, and availability and supported languages may vary by region.

The announcement is part of Project Rasengan, a multiyear initiative bringing new Naruto projects to international audiences between 2027 and 2029. Other reveals include a four-episode Naruto x Ninku anime crossover, the Naruto Card Game, and a new manga project from series creator Masashi Kishimoto.

Fans won’t have to wait indefinitely for another update, either, as further details about Naruto Mobile’s worldwide release are scheduled to arrive at Jump Festa 2027. Until then, the global announcement trailer offers an early glimpse at the long-running mobile game finally making its way beyond China.
