With 2023 over, it is interesting to look back on what some of the best-selling games were for the year.
While it is just one retailer, Amazon.com is a major source of game sales, so looking at what games sold best there gives us some insight into shoppers’ minds.
According to Amazon.com the best-selling gaming items remained gift cards in the top 5 spots and the overall list included many gaming peripherals taking high spots, but once actual games are counted, the top-selling game for the year was The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom at the #6 spot overall. The remaining top ten best-selling games include:
2: Super Mario Bros. Wonder at no.9 overall.
3: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope at no.17 overall.
4:Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 at no. 15 overall.
5: Super Mario RPG at no. 18 overall.
6: The Nintendo Switch with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle at no. 27 overall.
7: Minecraft on Nintendo Switch at no. 28 overall.
8: Just Dance 2024 Edition on Nintendo Switch at no. 29 overall.
9: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at no. 35 overall.
10: PlayStation 5 Slim with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bundle at no. 37 overall.
