Look Outside is bringing its unsettling brand of survival horror to consoles just in time for Halloween, with the game set to launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 30. Developed by Francis Coulombe and published by Devolver Digital, the horror RPG originally launched for PC in March 2025.
Look Outside takes place in an apartment building following a mysterious event that transforms anyone who looks out a window into a grotesque monster. Players must scavenge for food, supplies, and weapons while exploring the building and encountering its increasingly disturbing inhabitants. Survival requires careful resource management, with expeditions into dangerous areas providing the materials needed to stay alive and uncover more about the catastrophe.
Combat takes place through turn-based encounters that account for the distance between the player and their enemies. With more than 150 handcrafted creatures to encounter, the game leans heavily into body horror and unsettling creature designs. Players can also interact with their neighbors, recruit certain characters, and turn their apartment into a place to recover between dangerous excursions by preparing meals, crafting tools, and engaging in other activities.
The console release gives PlayStation and Nintendo players a chance to experience one of Devolver Digital’s stranger horror releases, with all four versions arriving on October 30.
