Square Enix is continuing to refine Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD- with another update aimed at making its old-school dungeon-crawling more responsive and ironing out a range of lingering issues.
Released on October 19, the latest patch improves the speed of battle messages and adjusts the timing of certain sound effects, allowing players to regain control sooner. Monster behaviour has also been adjusted, with fixes for splitting enemies, Rockbomb chain explosions, traps, sleeping monsters, and item effects.
The update addresses several other issues, including controller inputs getting stuck, temporary freezes, problems with diagonal movement, and items that could cause the game to become unresponsive. Square Enix has also fixed achievement and save-data issues, corrected errors in the Directory, adjusted player vision, and made the HP gauge easier to see.
These changes follow an earlier update that improved movement responsiveness and sped up certain text prompts. With another round of fixes now available, Square Enix is continuing to address some of the rougher edges of this classic Mystery Dungeon adventure following its international debut.
Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD- is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
