Datadyne LLC and Deck13 Spotlight have revealed a March 2027 release window for Forge of the Fae, a pixel-art JRPG that draws inspiration from 19th-century Ireland and Celtic folklore. A new trailer offers another look at the upcoming adventure, which has been in development for the past five years.

Players will follow Fiora and her companions as they investigate a series of mysterious disappearances in a world where fairy tales conceal a much darker reality. Choices will influence how the story unfolds, while an ancient threat looms over the journey.

Inspired by classic JRPGs, Forge of the Fae combines turn-based combat with exploration, puzzle-solving, and character-driven storytelling. Its ARC Crystal system allows players to customize spells and abilities, while the Adrenaline system adds another layer of strategy to battles. Players can also uncover secrets, solve environmental puzzles, and discover hidden lore and powerful items throughout the world.

Forge of the Fae is scheduled to launch in March 2027 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and GOG. Those interested in trying the game ahead of its release can also check out the free demo available on Steam, with wishlisting available on both Steam and GOG.
