Just2D and Deck13 Spotlight have announced Drova II: Torn Lands, a sequel to the acclaimed action RPG Drova: Forsaken Kin that will bring players back to the Otherworld for another adventure. With the Dark Fog gone and magic returning to the land, a new threat is emerging from a ravine that divides the world, setting the stage for a journey shaped by dangerous encounters and consequential decisions.

Drova II: Torn Lands aims to build upon its predecessor with a slightly larger open world, an expanded combat system, two new factions, and more choices that influence both the story and individual quests. The sequel will also introduce new cultures for players to encounter, while retaining the original’s approach to exploration: no quest markers, with an emphasis on trusting players to find their own way through the world.

Following the events of Drova: Forsaken Kin, the Divinities have been freed and the Dark Fog has disappeared. However, the Otherworld is far from safe. A ravine now cuts through the land, deepening divisions among its inhabitants as an unknown danger lurks below. Players will have to decide where their loyalties lie, choosing between factions devoted to the Bear Mother and the Great Ram.

These competing allegiances will play an important role throughout the adventure. As tensions rise between different cultures, players’ decisions will influence how quests unfold and how the broader story develops. Some choices will also lead to unavoidable battles, with familiar and new monsters threatening those who venture into the wilderness.

Combat is also set to receive an upgrade, with Just2D promising more options, additional combat styles, and refined mechanics. The developers say the goal is to build on the strengths of the original while addressing areas that could be improved, delivering a sequel that remains faithful to the design philosophy that defined Drova: Forsaken Kin.

Drova II: Torn Lands is in development for PC and consoles, with more details on the action RPG expected in the coming months. The game is supported by Games Fund Germany and Germany’s Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.
