Gravity Circuit 2 is giving players an early chance to try its new action and platforming challenges, with a free demo now available on Steam. Announced by developer Domesticated Ant Games and publisher Dear Villagers during the Galaxies Autumn Showcase, the demo offers a sample of the upcoming sequel ahead of its planned Spring 2027 launch.
The demo features approximately 30 minutes of gameplay spread across two stages, with players able to try both returning protagonist Kai and newcomer Cable. Each character brings a different approach to combat, offering a preview of the new options players will have when tackling the sequel’s challenges.
Set years after the events of the original Gravity Circuit, the sequel returns to a rebuilt Kernel City, where a new Ark and invading forces from the Hunter Army threaten the peace. Players can choose between Kai and Cable before starting a mission, with Kai sticking to his familiar close-range fighting style while Cable favours ranged attacks, projectiles, and multiple jumps that can damage enemies. Cable can also turn defeated foes into scrap to use as ammunition, giving him another way to deal with incoming threats.
Both characters will have additional ways to develop their abilities throughout the adventure. Booster Chips and Burst Techniques allow players to customise their movesets and stats, while Circuit Shards earned from defeated bosses unlock entirely new abilities. These upgrades add another layer to the sequel’s combat as players work through its 2D levels, take on enemies, and tackle platforming challenges while searching for hidden secrets.
Composer Dominic Ninmark, who also scored the original Gravity Circuit, returns for the sequel’s soundtrack. The game is scheduled to launch in Spring 2027 on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch.
