Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is bringing its brand of bug-blasting, mining-fuelled survival action to consoles next month, with Ghost Ship Publishing and Funday Games confirming that the single-player spin-off will launch for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on October 7.
Rather than following the co-op-focused approach of Deep Rock Galactic, Survivor puts a single dwarf against the dangers of Planet Hoxxes in a top-down survivor-like auto-shooter. Players will battle increasingly dangerous waves of alien creatures, mine valuable resources, complete mission objectives and use the resources they collect to unlock upgrades as they push deeper into the procedurally generated caves.
The game originally entered Early Access on PC in February 2024 before receiving its full release for PC and Xbox Series in September 2025. It subsequently made the jump to iOS and Android in November 2025, making the upcoming console versions the latest expansion of Funday Games’ take on the Deep Rock Galactic formula.
Alongside the console announcement, Ghost Ship Publishing and Funday Games have also revealed the Knockout Expansion. The upcoming DLC will introduce the new Brawler class, a Sandblasted Corridors biome and a high-risk mission featuring new objectives and a boss. A release date for the expansion has not yet been announced.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor will launch for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on October 7.
