Quest Master is getting into the Halloween spirit, but the seasonal festivities are only part of what’s happening in Aetheria. Apogee Entertainment and Skydevilpalm have revealed that the Early Access dungeon-building game is nearing its Version 1.0 launch, with the release date announcement coming soon.
For now, players can celebrate Halloween in Castle Town, which has received a temporary spooky makeover that will remain in place through November 3. The seasonal decorations give the hub a festive appearance while players prepare to explore dungeons, hunt for treasure, or create adventures of their own.
The Halloween celebration also provides an excuse to explore the Moonlight Brambles dungeon theme, which is available year-round. The theme offers a collection of eerie decorations and objects, including gravestones, spiders, gargoyle statues, falling leaves, and other atmospheric touches for players looking to build something suitably unsettling. The community has already created nearly 600 dungeons using the theme.
That number is only a small part of the larger collection being assembled by Quest Master’s players. Since entering Steam Early Access, the community has created nearly 6,500 unique dungeons, ranging from puzzle-focused adventures and boss battles to deliberately ridiculous troll levels and more imaginative creations.
While players continue adding to that growing library, the game’s biggest update yet is getting closer. Quest Master Version 1.0 will introduce a new original campaign alongside several new features designed to expand the dungeon-building and adventuring experience.
Among the additions are dynamic split-screen multiplayer supporting two or three players, a new item wheel, additional dungeon entrance options, and 3D physics. The original campaign has also been teased throughout the game’s development and is set to become one of the major additions arriving with Version 1.0.
The developers say they are now putting the finishing touches on the update, with the Quest Master Version 1.0 release date announcement coming soon. Until then, players have the Halloween event and thousands of community-created dungeons to explore while waiting to see what the game’s full launch has in store.
