GungHo Online Entertainment has revealed its lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2026, with Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet taking center stage as the company prepares to give Japanese players its largest hands-on look yet at the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.

The game will occupy a major portion of GungHo’s booth #06-C06, where 40 demo stations will be available throughout the show. Attendees will be able to experience two different playable courses designed to showcase what the open-world follow-up has to offer.

The Planetary Exploration Course focuses on combat, giving players the chance to put Ninjala 2’s signature Ninja Gum Action to use against the creatures and enemies found across its strange new world. Meanwhile, the Photography Course takes a more relaxed approach, sending players across the game’s landscapes to capture its scenery and inhabitants.

Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet takes the fast-paced action of the original Ninjala and expands it into an open-world adventure. The story begins when the Forbidden Seal is broken and an entire ninja academy is transported to a mysterious planet, leaving its students to find a way home. Alongside its high-speed combat, the game adds weapon attributes, item crafting, cooking, dungeons, and massive bosses, with quests that can be tackled in any order.

Players will also be able to explore the planet alone or join up with as many as four friends through online or local co-op. Ninjala 2 is the first chapter in a planned two-part saga and is scheduled to launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2027.

GungHo is also bringing Chit Chat Party! to Tokyo Game Show following its surprise reveal, although players do not have to wait for the event to try it. The cooperative communication game is available now on Nintendo Switch 2 for $9.99 and uses the system’s GameChat feature as a core part of its gameplay.

Up to four players can work together across three different challenges, with communication becoming the key to getting through each one. Watermelon Bash has players verbally guide a blindfolded friend toward a watermelon, Delivery Dash divides players between map-reader and delivery-carrier roles, and Ghost Hunt has players use security camera footage to track down ghosts in a haunted mansion.

Practice Mode allows players to hone their skills alone, while a Spectator role lets others sit back and watch the action. Online play requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Rounding out GungHo’s Tokyo Game Show lineup is B.L.U.E. NOVA, the free-to-play co-op PvE shooter announced earlier this week. Coming to Steam in 2027, the game puts players in the role of Heroes fighting against a runaway AI, with as many as 30 players able to work together in an open-world setting.

The game’s Ring System is designed to give coordinated players a major boost, triggering a power-up and providing infinite ammunition when allies enter the system together. GungHo will screen the teaser trailer at its booth alongside a video exclusive to the Tokyo Game Show venue.

With Ninjala 2 offering the event’s biggest playable showcase, Chit Chat Party! already available on Nintendo Switch 2, and B.L.U.E. NOVA making its first Tokyo Game Show appearance, GungHo is bringing a varied lineup to the show. For players interested in what’s next for the publisher, Tokyo Game Show 2026 will provide a closer look at all three projects.
