IO Interactive’s 007 First Light has reached a major sales milestone, with the James Bond adventure surpassing 4 million units sold in just three months. The achievement makes it one of 2026’s fastest-selling games so far, and IO Interactive is celebrating by giving players their first opportunity to pick up the game at a discount.

For the first time since its launch, 007 First Light is now available at 20% off. The discount gives players who have been waiting to experience IO Interactive’s take on the legendary spy a chance to jump into Bond’s latest adventure for less, while the impressive sales figure provides another indication of the game’s strong performance since release.

Developed by IO Interactive in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios, 007 First Light tells an original story centred on a younger James Bond, offering a new take on the iconic character while incorporating the developer’s experience creating large-scale stealth and action experiences.

The 4 million sales milestone comes only three months after launch, putting 007 First Light among the faster-selling games of 2026. For IO Interactive, the achievement also sets the stage for the studio’s plans to continue expanding the game throughout its first year.

Rather than simply moving on to its next project, IO Interactive intends to regularly add new content to 007 First Light through its Year One plans. Players can expect Tactical Simulation updates that will revisit several of the game’s locations and provide new challenges and ways to approach the experience.

Among the locations being featured in these updates are Kensington’s Workshop, the mountain slopes of Slovakia, Mauritania’s black market and Vietnam’s luxury resort, The Pearl. These areas will give players additional opportunities to put Bond’s skills to the test as IO Interactive continues building on the foundation established at launch.

The upcoming content will also include new gadgets, weapons and cosmetic items, along with leaderboard challenges for players looking for additional reasons to return and compete for higher scores.

IO Interactive is also exploring New Game+ as part of its plans for the game. While additional details have yet to be revealed, the potential addition could give players another way to revisit 007 First Light after completing its main campaign, particularly when combined with the new challenges and equipment planned throughout Year One.

The ongoing support should come as little surprise given IO Interactive’s experience with HITMAN. The developer has spent years expanding its assassination sandbox with new missions, locations, challenges and other content, and 007 First Light appears poised to receive a similar long-term approach.

For players who have already been enjoying 007 First Light, the Year One roadmap gives them plenty to look forward to. For those who have yet to pick up the game, however, the combination of the new 20% discount and the promise of additional content could make this an appealing time to give Bond’s latest adventure a shot.

007 First Light is currently available in Standard, Deluxe, Collector’s and Legacy Editions. The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as through select retailers.

A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also planned for later in Summer 2026, giving Nintendo players another opportunity to experience IO Interactive’s Bond adventure on the new console.

With more than 4 million units already sold in its first three months, 007 First Light has clearly made an impressive early impact. IO Interactive now has the opportunity to build on that momentum with its planned Year One updates, while the game’s first-ever 20% discount gives even more players a chance to see what the studio has created for its original take on James Bond.
