Nintendo has announced two new Nintendo Switch 2 bundles that will give players additional options for picking up the system alongside two of its multiplayer-focused games. The new bundles will pair Nintendo Switch 2 with either Mario Kart World or the upcoming Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, with both packages also including three months of Nintendo Switch Online.
The Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle will launch in late September and includes a Nintendo Switch 2 system, a digital copy of Mario Kart World, and a three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership. The bundle will be available for $549.99 USD, representing a savings of $37.98 compared to purchasing the system, game, and membership separately.
In Canada, the same bundle will be priced at $749.99 CAD, offering a savings of $51.98 CAD based on the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices of the individual products.
Mario Kart World was released alongside Nintendo Switch 2 and expands the series with a large interconnected world that players can freely explore between races. In addition to competing in traditional races, players can travel across the game’s environments and take their time exploring the open road.
The bundle provides another option for players who have yet to pick up Nintendo Switch 2 and want to jump directly into one of the system’s major first-party releases.
Nintendo’s second bundle will launch on October 22 alongside Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. The Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Bundle will include the console, a digital copy of Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, and three months of Nintendo Switch Online.
The bundle will be priced at $529.99 USD, representing a savings of $27.98 compared to purchasing the included products separately. In Canada, the bundle will be available for $724.99 CAD, with Nintendo citing savings of $36.98 CAD.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort takes players to Wuhu Island for a new collection of motion-controlled sporting activities. The game features 12 different sports, with players able to customize their Sportsmate or Mii character before taking part in a variety of activities.
The sports include Prop Plane, Power Cruising, Boxing, Archery, Bowling, Thumb Wrestling, and Jump Rope. Nintendo is positioning the game as a multiplayer experience that can be enjoyed with friends and family, while the motion controls are designed to make the various activities accessible to players of different skill levels.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 when it launches on October 22. Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Bundle will be available through the Nintendo Store, Nintendo eShop, and participating retailers.
The announcement also comes ahead of a change to the standard Nintendo Switch 2 system price. In the United States, the suggested retail price of the console will be $499.99 beginning September 1, while the Canadian suggested retail price will increase to $679.99 CAD.
Both new bundles include a three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership, giving purchasers access to the service for the first three months. Nintendo Switch Online is required for certain online features, with a Nintendo Account and internet connection also required.
Nintendo Switch 2 also includes features such as GameChat and GameShare, allowing players to connect with others while playing supported games. The system is compatible with a wide range of Nintendo Switch games in addition to its dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 titles.
With Mario Kart World and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort offering very different multiplayer experiences, the two new bundles give prospective Nintendo Switch 2 owners another reason to consider the system later this year. The Mario Kart World package will appeal to players looking for racing and exploration, while Nintendo Switch Sports Resort provides a collection of motion-controlled activities designed around social play.
