IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have announced that 007 First Light has sold more than 4 million copies within its first three months of release, making it one of 2026’s fastest-selling games.
The latest entry in the James Bond franchise is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version scheduled to launch later this year.
The strong sales come as IO Interactive continues to expand 007 First Light with additional content following its initial release. The studio says the game’s performance reflects the continued popularity of the James Bond franchise and the response to its original take on the iconic spy.
IO Interactive is also planning a substantial Year One content roadmap for the game, with regular Tactical Simulation updates introducing new challenges, scenarios, weapons, gadgets, cosmetics, and leaderboard events.
Upcoming content will take players back to several locations featured throughout 007 First Light, including Kensington’s Workshop, the mountain slopes of Slovakia, the black market in Mauritania, and the Pearl luxury resort in Vietnam.
The additional content will also expand the game’s story. Players will uncover more information surrounding Webb Industries and investigate a mysterious piece of technology that could become one of Bond’s most dangerous threats. Following the events in Mauritania, Bond will also become involved in an unexpected alliance between MI6 and Pirate King Bawma.
IO Interactive is additionally exploring a New Game+ mode, which would give players another way to experience the campaign after completing the main story.
007 First Light is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled to follow later in 2026.
