Spanish indie studios Firenut Games and Digital Dreams have released a new gameplay trailer for Baptiste, giving players a closer look at the upcoming psychological survival horror game ahead of its release on consoles and PC later this year.

The new trailer offers a glimpse at the eerie mansion that serves as the game’s primary setting, as well as several of the characters players will encounter throughout the story. As the line between reality and nightmare begins to disappear, players will have to uncover the mansion’s secrets while confronting the supernatural forces lurking within.

Baptiste follows Tom, a young boy whose life is turned upside down after he frees an unsettling doll from a display case. What initially appears to be an innocent discovery quickly becomes the beginning of a terrifying journey as Tom and his mother, Sara, find themselves trapped in a nightmare surrounding their new home.

Following a devastating family tragedy, Sara and Tom move to Jagged Shore Cliff in search of a fresh start. However, their new home holds a disturbing secret. Inside a dusty cabinet sits a mysterious doll named Baptiste, accompanied by a simple warning: “Never release this from its glass prison.”

After Tom releases the doll, the family’s new beginning quickly turns into something far more sinister. As strange events begin to unfold, the game explores the psychological effects of grief and loss while following a child struggling to understand the horrifying events taking place around him.

Rather than focusing exclusively on traditional jump scares, Baptiste aims to build tension through its atmosphere, environmental storytelling, and psychological horror. Players will explore the mansion, search for clues, solve puzzles, and gradually piece together the mystery surrounding Baptiste and the events that have taken place inside the house.

The game draws inspiration from several well-known horror stories and games, including Annabelle, R.L. Stine’s Night of the Living Dummy, P.T., Layers of Fear, and the Outlast series.

As players progress, the story will increasingly blur the distinction between reality and nightmare. The mansion itself becomes an important part of the experience as its secrets are gradually uncovered, while Tom’s struggle to cope with tragedy forms the emotional centre of the story.

Baptiste is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam later in 2026. A specific release date has not yet been announced.

Players can wishlist Baptiste on Steam now and keep an eye out for more information as Firenut Games prepares to reveal additional details about the game.
