CAVE Interactive has announced that DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite, the latest entry in its legendary bullet-hell shooter series, will launch worldwide on Steam on August 26, 2026.
The upgraded version of DoDonPachi Resurrection introduces several new features, including a new multiplayer battle mode that allows up to 10 players to compete against one another in real time.
The game will be available at 10:00 a.m. JST on August 27, which corresponds to 6:00 p.m. PDT on August 26 in North America. It will be priced at ¥3,150 JPY / $24.99 USD.
One of the biggest additions in DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite is the new “Royale” mode. The multiplayer battle mode pits up to 10 players against one another in a fight for survival, with players able to use various items to interfere with their opponents and attempt to remain the last player standing.
The classic Bullet-Hell Shooter Mode has also been expanded with new ways for players to interfere with one another, while real-time rankings allow competitors to see their position change during a run.
CAVE notes that these new features are not included in the demo currently available on Steam. The full release will instead serve as a substantially upgraded version of the game.
Beyond the new multiplayer features, DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite adds a new character, new stages, and new music while retaining the core gameplay that has made the DoDonPachi series a staple of the bullet-hell genre.
A new Element Doll character will join the existing cast, while several familiar Element Daughter characters will also return. Character designs are once again being handled by Takeshi Ogata, who previously worked on DoDonPachi Resurrection.
The soundtrack is also receiving a major overhaul, with BEMANI composer Ryu☆ providing a new main theme alongside remixed versions of the game’s stage music. The composer is also known for his own enthusiasm for shoot-’em-ups, making his involvement a fitting addition to the latest version of DoDonPachi Resurrection.

DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite will launch on Steam on August 27, 2026. The game will support Japanese, English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, French, German, and Spanish.
Players can add the game to their Steam wishlist ahead of release.
