Netmarble, a renowned developer and publisher of high-quality games, has rolled out a new in-game update for its AFK RPG THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, introducing two fighters alongside a lineup of in-game events.
Joining the roster is Ash Crimson, a boy who can control green flames. He talks and behaves like he looks down on people and is temperamental by nature. Players can experience his signature skills in-game, including Pluviose and Sneering Fireflight. Ash also carries [Corrosion] Synergy in THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK.
Players can obtain Ash Crimson through the Ash Crimson Arrival Event. Additionally, the [Corrosion] Synergy Pick-Up event boosts summon rates for fighters with [Corrosion] synergy. Both events are running through August 19.
Also new to the roster is Zero (Clone), a fighter carrying [Special] synergy and the [Cosmos] attribute and known for his signature skills Hakura Messei, Zanfuu Enpa Shouha, and Clone. Zero (Clone) can be acquired through Premium Summon or the League Battle Shop.
THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK will host additional events as well. The Tropical Island event runs from August 13 to August 26 and introduces the Legendary Pets Blaze and Popsy. From August 10 to August 14, players can also take part in the Lucky Elpy event for a chance at the Legendary supporter Ron.
THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK is based on SNK’s “THE KING OF FIGHTERS” IP. The game features iconic fighters from “THE KING OF FIGHTERS” series reimagined in pixel art graphics that gamers are familiar with from THE KING OF FIGHTERS R-2 on NEOGEO POCKET COLOR, allowing players to build their own team of favorite Fighters and enjoy dynamic combats. Players can strategically create their decks by combining at least 5 and up to 25 different Fighters and formations.
