IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have given 007 First Light’s PC visuals another major upgrade, with a new update adding path tracing and DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction to the James Bond adventure.
The update builds on the game’s existing support for NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, with path tracing now bringing more detailed lighting, shadows and reflections to its environments and set pieces. With DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction also included, the latest update is designed to improve both image quality and performance on GeForce RTX hardware.
Path tracing is now supported throughout 007 First Light, giving the game’s cinematic environments an additional layer of visual detail. The update is part of IO Interactive’s ongoing collaboration with NVIDIA, which began in January alongside the release of the game’s official PC specifications.
IO Interactive has also continued evolving its proprietary Glacier engine for 007 First Light, with the technology being enhanced to accommodate its cinematic presentation, dynamic action sequences, detailed environments and more expressive character performances.
007 First Light is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as Amazon.com. The PC version is currently available with a 20% discount.
