Witchbrook will bring its magical school life simulation to Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5, Xbox and PC on January 28, 2027, with Chucklefish confirming the release date for its long-awaited game.

Developed by Chucklefish alongside co-developer Robotality, Witchbrook invites players to become a witch-in-training at Witchbrook College in the seaside town of Mossport. However, mastering magic is only part of the experience, as players will also be able to form friendships, pursue romances, help local residents, and discover the secrets hidden throughout the surrounding world.

Outside the classroom, players can spend their time exploring woodlands, gathering resources, selling crafts at the Sunday Market, and participating in seasonal events. They can also develop their magical abilities, customize a woodland cottage, and take to the skies on a broomstick while getting to know the residents of Mossport. The game’s combination of magical studies, community activities, and everyday life aims to make the journey to graduation an adventure of its own.

Witchbrook will also feature online cooperative multiplayer for up to four players, allowing friends to explore its world together and develop their own stories along the way. Whether attending classes, building relationships, or finding new activities around town, players will have considerable freedom in how they spend their time.

First revealed in 2017, Witchbrook has been in development for years, with its launch previously planned for winter 2025 before being delayed to 2026. The game is now scheduled to arrive on January 28, 2027, across Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
