Wendy’s is bringing its fast-food rivalry into the world of RPGs with WendyQuest: Legend of the Four Corner Stones, a new free-to-play adventure coming to PC. Developed and published by 81monkeys, the game puts players in control of a redheaded warrior named Wendy as she sets out to save a fantasy kingdom from a mechanized invasion.

Set in the culinary kingdom of Savoria, WendyQuest sees players embark on a quest to collect four magical stones and put an end to the schemes of Mech Corp. Led by the villainous Dr. Mechborg, the corporation has unleashed a curse known as Mechtosis upon the kingdom, using soggy fries, frozen beef, and other culinary atrocities to spread its influence.

Naturally, Wendy is not about to let that happen. Armed with sacred spatulas, fresh beef, and an ancient prophecy, she must restore order to Savoria while battling a collection of food-inspired enemies. The adventure will feature strategic turn-based combat, with players facing off against foes such as Golden Archers and Hot Sludge Sundaes.

Wendy won’t have to take on the entire kingdom alone, either. Players can recruit a variety of culinary companions, including a French Fry Archer, Spicy Chickeneer, and Frosty Mage. Each ally has unique strengths against specific enemy types, adding another layer of strategy to the game’s battles.

Beyond combat, WendyQuest will take players across five food-themed regions, ranging from salty forests and seasoned deserts to rugged beefy bluffs and Frosty-capped peaks. Each area will contain hidden secrets to uncover, while the adventure also promises puzzles and handcrafted pixel art.

Interestingly, WendyQuest’s Steam listing also describes the game as an adventure where players can earn real food as they play, adding another unusual twist to the fast-food chain’s latest marketing venture.

WendyQuest: Legend of the Four Corner Stones is currently listed as coming soon on Steam, with no release date announced. The game will be free to play, and interested players can add it to their wishlist ahead of its eventual launch.
