Saber Interactive, in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, has unveiled a new story trailer for Turok: Origins during Gamescom Opening Night Live, offering a closer look at the sci-fi shooter’s dangerous journey through the Lost Lands. The game is currently scheduled to launch in Spring 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
The newly revealed trailer showcases the desperate battle facing humanity as the Order of the Turok confronts the Xenia, a terrifying alien threat determined to wipe out human life across the galaxy. An extended version of the Opening Night Live trailer is also available, giving fans a longer look at the enemies and environments players will encounter throughout the adventure.
Turok: Origins serves as a modern evolution of the classic dinosaur-hunting franchise, placing players in the role of members of the mystical Order of the Turok. These powerful warriors are humanity’s last line of defense as they battle through the Lost Lands against both ferocious dinosaurs and deadly alien forces.
Combat will support both first-person and third-person perspectives, giving players the opportunity to unleash a variety of weapons and abilities against the game’s enemies. The arsenal will include futuristic technology such as plasma rifles and sniper weapons alongside more traditional options like bows and shotguns, as well as experimental alien weaponry that can be unlocked and upgraded throughout the adventure.
Players will also be able to collect Echoes and use them to unlock powerful Turok abilities, allowing them to customize their approach to combat and build a character around their preferred playstyle. These abilities will be particularly useful when facing the game’s larger and more dangerous encounters, including massive bosses that will require players to make use of their weapons, powers and teamwork.
The adventure can be played solo or cooperatively with friends through online co-op, with players working together to survive the Lost Lands and uncover the secrets hidden within them. The world will take players through a variety of environments, including ancient ruins, dense jungles and alien landscapes, with plenty of hidden areas and mysteries to discover along the way.
With its combination of dinosaur hunting, science-fiction combat, exploration and cooperative action, Turok: Origins is shaping up to be a very different take on the long-running franchise. Fans will have to wait until Spring 2027 to experience the full adventure when Turok: Origins launches on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
