In order to create a system that is “more fair for everyone,” Valve will be accepting reservation sign-ups over the course of a few days—until June 25 at 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET. This will allow users to take their time, and Valve to do some extra validation to make sure those who sign up are real accounts ant not bots. To apply, you must have a Steam account in good standing and have made a purchase on Steam prior to April 27, 2026. Only one sign-up is allowed per household. Users will be chosen at random and emailed the week of June 29.
