Saving lives is all about keeping the beat in Rhythm Doctor, and players won’t have to wait much longer to experience the unusual rhythm game on Nintendo’s consoles. Developer 7th Beat Games has announced that Rhythm Doctor is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch in December.

Rather than relying on a traditional collection of buttons and increasingly complicated combinations, Rhythm Doctor challenges players to treat patients by pressing a button in time with their heartbeats. The catch is that each patient has a different rhythmic condition, introducing increasingly complex patterns that test players’ timing and concentration.

The game features more than 20 handcrafted levels, each with its own story, alongside a larger narrative centred on the doctors and patients players encounter. Rhythm Doctor also supports local multiplayer throughout its campaign, allowing two players to work through its challenges together.

Beyond the main story, players can tackle more demanding Night Shift versions of levels or experiment with the built-in level editor, which allows them to create, share, and play community-made challenges using their own music and a wide range of visual effects.

Rhythm Doctor originally launched in Steam Early Access in February 2021 before receiving its full PC release in December 2025. It subsequently arrived on Xbox One and the Microsoft Store for PC that same month. Its upcoming Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 releases will bring the rhythm game to a new audience this December.

Players interested in trying something different from conventional rhythm games can look forward to Rhythm Doctor when it launches on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
