Rebellion has released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming action-horror first-person shooter Alien Deathstorm, giving players a closer look at the dangerous alien-infested world they will have to survive. The trailer arrives alongside Gamescom 2026, where the game is playable for the first time ahead of its launch in Spring 2027.

Alien Deathstorm takes players to a devastated off-world human colony that has been torn apart by a catastrophic mega-storm and overrun by swarms of predatory aliens. Playing as an isolated Engineer, players will have to fight through the ruined colony while uncovering what happened and attempting to survive the increasingly dangerous conditions.

What begins as a rescue mission quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival. The planetary-scale storm is a constant threat, continuing to wreak havoc across the environment while the seemingly endless alien hordes create another deadly obstacle.

The Gamescom demo gives players the chance to experience the Reactor mission, which sees the Engineer battling through horrific conditions and relentless alien attacks to reach a malfunctioning fission reactor. The objective is to retrieve the Fission Initiator, forcing players to contend with both the unstable environment and the creatures hunting them.

The new trailer highlights the game’s emphasis on first-person combat and survival as players navigate the destroyed colony while facing overwhelming odds.

Alien Deathstorm is scheduled to launch in Spring 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, with Xbox Cloud Gaming supported as well.

Rebellion says it will reveal more details about Alien Deathstorm ahead of its release.
