Persona 3 Portable’s female protagonist is stepping into the world of Persona 5: The Phantom X, with SEGA rolling out the game’s Version 4.10 update across mobile and PC. The new update brings Kotone Shiomi into P5X alongside a special Persona 3 Portable crossover event, while also giving Persona 3 Reload characters another chance to return.
The main attraction is the new P3P special event, Reach for the Moon, which sends Wonder into a mysterious labyrinth resembling Tartarus. After discovering a strange door in Paulownia Mall, Wonder loses his memories of Tartarus before finding himself trapped among Shadows. His situation takes a turn when he is rescued by Kotone Shiomi, who joins him as he ventures deeper into the labyrinth.
The Reach for the Moon event is now available as part of Version 4.10, with players able to earn rewards including training materials, a P3P Music Collection and artwork that can be displayed in the Thieves’ Den by progressing through its story.
The update also introduces Recollections of Fate, an event focused on taking down increasingly powerful bosses. After clearing a level, players can return to it in Stamina Mode to earn Wheel of Time: Paraselene, which can then be spent in the event’s Exchange Shop.
Kotone isn’t just appearing as part of the story, either. She joins the P5X roster as a new 5★ Fire-attribute Strategist through the Most Wanted Phantom Idol Idol Contracts, with her contract available until November 12, 2026, at 1:59 AM UTC.
Her exclusive Assist, Go for Broke, can be used once per battle and puts Kotone into Wheel of Fortune Mode, giving her two additional actions. This allows her to take three consecutive turns while providing a variety of buffs for her teammates. She can also help allies activate their Highlight or Theurgy, giving her a role that extends beyond simply dealing damage.
The Persona 3 crossover continues with the upcoming Friendships Bloom side story, which begins September 30. Wonder and Kotone will encounter another mysterious door after arriving at Tartarus, eventually finding themselves in a location resembling Shibuya’s Central Street. The story will also feature Shinjiro Aragaki, giving another Persona 3 character a chance to appear in P5X.
Persona 3 Reload is also getting another turn in the spotlight. Makoto Yuki, Yukari Takeba and Akihiko Sanada are returning through the Most Wanted Phantom Idol Contract Comeback, with Makoto Yuki’s contract receiving an extended availability period. The When Moon Reaches Stars contract runs until June 26, 2027, while Shot Through the Heart and Fists of Thunder are both available until November 12, 2026, at 1:59 AM UTC.
Players can also earn Gold Tickets by progressing through the Persona 3 Reload event story, with additional missions scheduled to unlock on October 8 at 2:30 AM UTC.
The Version 4.10 update arrives alongside several anniversary and crossover bonuses. A Persona 30th Anniversary login campaign is available until October 15, allowing players who log in for 10 days to receive up to 10 Platinum Tickets as well as a commemorative Thieves’ Den item featuring the anniversary key art.
A separate P3P login bonus offers up to 10 Platinum Milicoins and another Thieves’ Den collection item featuring Persona 3 Portable box art. The update also adds limited-time event missions that can award up to 1,100 Meta Jewels alongside Joy Medals, Wheel of Time: Paraselene and other rewards.
Players can spend their Wheel of Time: Paraselene in the P3P Special Event Exchange Shop for items including Platinum Milicoins, Everlasting Incense and Fortune Revelations. There is also a limited-time puzzle event where completing daily and season missions provides Puzzle Pieces, with Meta Jewels and Fortune Revelations available based on puzzle progress.
Finally, anyone who watched the official broadcast can claim 600 Meta Jewels as an update celebration gift. The gift is available until October 15 at 1:59 AM UTC.
With Version 4.10, Persona 5: The Phantom X is effectively turning the spotlight toward Persona 3, bringing Kotone Shiomi and Tartarus into its world while continuing to cycle in characters and content from Persona 3 Reload. For fans of Persona 3 Portable in particular, however, Kotone’s arrival marks a notable addition to P5X’s growing roster.
