Bringing together 12 versions of four classic James Pond games, the collection spans the Amiga 500, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and Commodore 64. With a production run capped at no more than 6,000 physical copies, the release gives longtime fans and newly recruited agents alike the chance to own a tangible piece of James Pond history.

James Pond Legacy: The Pond Is Not Enough features four beloved titles: James Pond: Underwater Agent, James Pond 2: RoboCod, James Pond 3: Operation Starfish, and The Aquatic Games Starring James Pond and the Aquabats. The included versions preserve the distinctive visuals, audio, and gameplay of the original releases, offering a deep dive into the history of gaming’s most charming secret agent fish.

The announcement trailer also debuts “Maybe,” an original studio-recorded title track inspired by James Pond’s notorious adversary, Dr Maybe. The track is set for release on Spotify and Apple Music ahead of the game’s launch, and everyone who pre-orders the collection will receive a download of James Pond music, including “Maybe.”

The collection also introduces the all-new Pondverse, an interactive hub bringing together characters, villains, bosses, games, and memorable locations from across James Pond history for the first time. Players can dive into detailed character profiles, hero and villain biographies, insights into the games and their iconic levels, and newly crafted 3D artwork inspired by the original pixel art. The Pondverse also features authentic box and packaging art alongside a comprehensive timeline charting the series’ evolution.

“James Pond has never been an ordinary hero, and this was never going to be an ordinary collection,” said Mark Cale, Founder and CEO at System 3. “This release is about preserving the different versions, soundtracks, artwork, and unmistakable personality that shaped the series, while making them enjoyable for players today. With the new Pondverse and a limited physical Nintendo Switch 2 edition, longtime fans and new recruits can explore the complete legacy of James Pond like never before.”
