GungHo Online Entertainment has announced Chit Chat Party, a new multiplayer game built around communication and teamwork on Nintendo Switch 2. More surprisingly, players do not have to wait for its release, as the party game is already available digitally through the Nintendo eShop for $9.99.
Chit Chat Party is designed with Nintendo Switch 2’s GameChat feature at the center of its gameplay, giving players a collection of challenges where communication can make the difference between success and complete chaos. Up to four players can take part, while those who would rather practice alone can also use the game’s single-player Practice Mode. A Spectator feature is included as well, allowing others to watch the action.
The game launches with three different challenges. Watermelon Bash has one player guide a blindfolded teammate to a watermelon using only their voice, putting the focus on clear directions. Delivery Dash instead has players divide responsibilities, with one reading a map while another handles the deliveries. Ghost Hunt shifts things toward something a little spookier, tasking players with locating ghosts hidden throughout a mansion using security cameras.
With all three modes built around communication, Chit Chat Party is clearly intended to make GameChat more than just a way to talk while playing another game. Whether players are trying to coordinate their way through the challenges or simply watching their friends struggle through them, GungHo is putting the social side of Nintendo Switch 2 front and center.
Chit Chat Party is now available digitally for Nintendo Switch 2 for $9.99.
