A new trailer for Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered has revealed the full roster for the upcoming remaster, while also confirming that PC players will get a chance to try the kaiju brawler early with a free Steam demo launching October 15.

The latest look at the remastered version of the 2002 GameCube and 2003 Xbox arena fighter showcases all 12 playable monsters, including a notable change from the original release. Showa-era Mechagodzilla replaces the Heisei version that appeared in the original game, giving longtime fans another reason to revisit the classic brawler.

The change was previously confirmed by Atari and Pipeworks when the remaster was announced in June. According to the developers, the swap was made to correct a continuity issue carried over into the manual for Godzilla: Unleashed, which incorrectly identified the Showa version of Mechagodzilla as the machine used by the Vortaak during their first invasion.

The full roster consists of Heisei Godzilla, Godzilla 2000, Anguirus, Megalon, Gigan, Rodan, King Ghidorah, Mecha-King Ghidorah, Destoroyah, Showa Mechagodzilla, Kiryu, and Orga. Kiryu’s inclusion is particularly notable given that the original Destroy All Monsters Melee did not feature the Millennium-era Mechagodzilla.

The new trailer also provides a clearer look at the remaster’s updated visuals, with the footage showing off the enhanced character models, environments, destruction effects, and arenas without the cinematic filter seen in some of the game’s previous footage. The original game’s announcer also returns, providing familiar introductions for each monster.

Beyond the visual overhaul, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered will retain the core arena-fighting gameplay of the original while adding several modern features. The game has been rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 and includes an improved unlock system, local multiplayer, and new online multiplayer with matchmaking. Players will also be able to battle across eight locations with day and night variations while using the environments as weapons.

The free Steam demo will be available on October 15, giving PC players several weeks to get their hands on the remaster before its full release.

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered launches November 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Physical editions are planned for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
