CAVE has released a new update for DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite, giving players one of the features they have been waiting for most. Version 1.1.0 is now available, adding Training Mode while also laying out what is coming next for the bullet-hell shooter.
Training Mode is designed to give players a more controlled environment for practising their skills and developing strategies without having to repeatedly work through a full run. All stages are supported, including the game’s new AREA 6, allowing players to focus on specific sections and get more familiar with their challenges.
The update also increases the number of coins earned through Grade Matches, giving players another reason to jump back into the competitive side of DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite. CAVE has confirmed that this is only the beginning of a series of updates planned through the winter.
The next major addition is scheduled for November, when AREA 6 will make its way into Shooting Royale. The mode is one of the game’s biggest new additions, allowing up to 10 players to compete against one another in a multiplayer bullet-hell battle. CAVE also plans to expand the ways players can earn coins and make adjustments to matchmaking wait times.
The bigger addition is still to come, however, as CAVE has confirmed that Black Label is planned for this winter. The updated version of DoDonPachi Resurrection was previously well known among arcade players, and its arrival in Reignite will bring AREA 6 alongside new music for the stage and Assist Mode.

For anyone looking to jump into DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite in the meantime, the game is also part of the Steam Autumn Sale. The game is available for 10% off until October 8 at 10:00 a.m. PT, bringing its regular $24.99 price down to $22.49 for the duration of the promotion.
With Training Mode now available and Black Label on the horizon, DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite is continuing to build on its mix of classic arcade shooting and newer multiplayer features. The upcoming additions should give both returning players and those still getting accustomed to its bullet-filled battles plenty of reasons to keep playing.
