DC is giving Absolute Catwoman more room to explore its version of Selina Kyle, extending the comic book series from six issues to 12. Writers Che Grayson and artist Bengal will return for the additional issues, continuing the story in 2027 as the series expands its place in DC’s Absolute Universe.

Grayson expressed excitement about continuing Selina’s journey, teasing that the upcoming issues will deepen the character’s connections to Gotham and beyond. Bengal also celebrated the extension, describing Absolute Catwoman as a dream project and expressing enthusiasm about drawing more adventures featuring one of his favourite characters.

Scott Snyder, who co-writes the series alongside Grayson, congratulated the creative team and praised the story they’ve developed for Selina. He also confirmed that events from Absolute Batman #25 have been part of the broader plans for Absolute Catwoman since the series was first pitched. While Snyder stopped short of revealing what lies ahead, he teased that Grayson and Bengal have some major developments planned for Selina and her supporting cast in 2027.

Before the series reaches its expanded run, readers can look forward to Absolute Catwoman #4, which arrives in comic book shops and participating digital retailers on November 4. Written by Snyder, Grayson, and illustrated by Bengal, the issue sees Selina Kyle and the Calicos team up for one final heist to find the Yarn before Cassandra Cain and the League of Shadows can get their hands on it. With their futures at stake, securing the world’s most powerful supercomputer will require more than cutting-edge equipment.

With six additional issues now confirmed, Absolute Catwoman will have a longer run to develop its take on Selina Kyle and her corner of the Absolute Universe, with the next stage of her story set to unfold in 2027.
