Funcom is bringing two very different survival games to PlayStation 5, with Conan Exiles Enhanced also coming to Xbox Series X|S, while Aloft is preparing for its PS5 debut in early 2027 as it leaves Early Access on PC.
Announced on October 27, Conan Exiles Enhanced will give console players access to the upgraded version of the open-world survival game, which arrived on Steam as a free update in May 2025. The new release will be available as a free upgrade for existing PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners, with previously purchased content carrying over to the respective current-generation versions.
The Enhanced edition features improved visuals across environments, characters, lighting, and effects, alongside a redesigned user interface and various performance and quality-of-life improvements. It also brings the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah expansion together into a more seamless experience, although the expansion remains a separate purchase. Full cross-play is also planned for launch or shortly afterward, though Funcom has yet to confirm the exact timing.
The announcement comes as Conan Exiles approaches its 10th anniversary, with Funcom CEO Scott Junior expressing the studio’s intention to continue supporting the game for years to come.
Meanwhile, Aloft offers a considerably more relaxed take on survival, trading Hyboria’s brutal landscapes for a colorful world of floating islands. The game will launch on PlayStation 5 in early 2027, coinciding with its planned departure from Steam Early Access and the arrival of version 1.0 on PC.
Developed by Astrolabe Interactive, Aloft revolves around exploring floating islands, transforming them into skyships, and building a home among the clouds. The full release will include more than two years of updates, alongside new content, stories, and improvements. Players will be able to experience the adventure alone or with friends, with the PlayStation 5 version offering the same experience as the PC 1.0 release.
Astrolabe Interactive CEO Manuel Bergeron described the milestone as a new chapter for the project, which has grown from a small team of friends into a full-fledged studio over six years of development.
Neither game has an exact release date yet, with Funcom confirming that further details about both Conan Exiles Enhanced and Aloft will be announced at a later date.
